The other day I received a phone call from a relative (whom shall remain nameless) who had a computer question.
Somehow she managed to send a 30 page printer job (many times) to the printer.
She couldn’t figure out how to cancel the printer job before it used up half a forest of paper.
The answer is look for the printer icon in the system tray at the bottom right of your “START bar”.
Just today, another family member called and for some reason his START bar was showing up on the top of the screen, and he couldn’t figure out how to get it back to the bottom where it belonged.
The answer is to click your mouse on the blue section below the START button and drag it back down.
Real simple stuff for me, but then I’ve spent somewhere arond a bazillion hours of my life working with computers.
It’s funny, but I sometimes forget about all the “nuances” of using computers. For example, clicking, double clicking, dragging, right mouse, clipboard, copy and paste, etc…
So each time I get a call from family or friends to answer some computer question, I try to be patient and helpful.
But I always think:
“One of these days I have to find some cool training for everyone.”
Then I just forget about it until the next phone call from a panicky computer user.
Well today it’s a lazy rainy Friday afternoon, so I figured I would take sometime to figure this out and try to work it with a Freebie Friday.
When it comes to learning something, the best way possible is to have someone show you in person.
The next best way is to watch a video on your computer screen.
One company that does a great job at this is Video Professor. They have super video training for Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Frontpage, even eBay!
There are a bunch of different titles that they have too.
I checked them out today and you can try ANY of their computer training CDs for FREE. Since you pay $6.95 (or $8.51 USD in Canada), it’s really almost free.
They are even giving away a digital camera when you buy the training.
They have a very nice wide range of training. No matter what you’ve been trying to learn how to do with your computer, no doubt you’ll find this training very helpful.
On the other hand….
If you are the “tech support” person for your family or circle of friends, then you might want to suggest that they take a look at it themselves.
BTW…. a short cut to this blog is http://www.MikeEnos.com
Your computer is a FANTASTIC time saving tool, ONCE you know how to use it.
So go check out Video Professor’s training, and then show off your new skills to everyone you know!
I just read about a 15 year old girl who is making around $900 a month with her own web business.
Isn’t that great!
Gotta admit… I’m a BIT jealous (and you might be too)
When I was 15 the only money I could make was washing dinosaurs, and that didn’t pay too well, and it was pretty dangerous work.
Today there is sooooo… much opportunity, thanks to the internet.
So why do some succeed, and some don’t?
What’s the difference?
Can you guess the two major things? #1 Training, #2 Taking Action.
It’s REALLY that simple.
This 15 year old girl knew where to get trained and took the time to take action.
You can do the same thing.
That’s all that’s holding you back.
“But Mike…It also takes money. I don’t have any money.”
Do you have $2.95?
That’s what you’ll pay (plus S/H) to try out the best training for starting and building a REAL internet business.
This is the same training that has produced MANY 6-figure and 7-figure online business success stories, including myself!
The special part is that you can try it for the price of an iced coffee.
Would you let an iced coffee stand in between you and the success you need?
Once in a while I’m able to tell my readers about this special $2.95 offer. HUNDREDS of my readers have grabbed their copy of this training, and NO-ONE is sad they did. Many email or phone me to thank me for recomending it to them.
Isn’t it time you checked it out too?
(P.S. Please let me know how much you enjoy it!)
