Mike, you’ve done it again. I can always rely on you to provide good, sound advice and training to eBayers, from startups (loved your “Ultimate Startup” audio program)to the experienced. How generous of you to create your weekly ‘freebies’. And what a great idea selling free coupons is. (If only I hadn’t just thrown away a few months of those envelopes.)

    Hi Mike,

I love your blog. I have your Ebay Zero to Ebay Hero DVDs. Thank you for your good advice. I’m still a newbie on Ebay because I was too scared to take the real plunge. Now I’m getting into it more than dabbling.

I do have a comment on this video though. I followed your advice but there are two things I did wrong. #1, even though I am travel verified since I sell timeshare weeks (my own) on Ebay, at, I listed the first coupon under the right category, I believe it was other travel. The second time I listed it under airline travel or airlines or something like that and Ebay turned the listing down saying I was violating their policies. So I switched back. Then I made the second mistake of listing more than one. Ebay emailed me back and told me that I could only list one of these vouchers per MONTH! I was stunned since I saw so many others who were listing many more than one. So now I only have one listed and in a category that doesn’t bring in very many people.

Were you aware that you were only allowed to list just one or am I doing something wrong? Also, make sure people know not to list under regular airlines.

Thanks again for all of your wonderful help and free information that you provide so generously.

This works, but there’s a limit. Ebay only allows you to sell one coupon like this a month. I found out the hard way as my kids collected 8 coupons from neighbors and we tried to sell all of them at once.

Ebay canceled our auction because we were selling too many.

thanks Mike for the great information that you shared with us but ebay cancelled my auction on selling to many coupons.I tried posting 4 of them which was cancelled or im doing something wrong here. If so, can someone tell me what to do.

    From Mike:
Hey Brandon… Yep… eBay (and Northwest Airlines) caught on to this and is now limiting sales to one per eBay seller. Sometimes that’s the way it goes :-(
